These Italian beads were handmade in the early 1800s. They were used as currency in Africa, traded for goods to take home to Italy. Glass beads made in Ghana, from recycled bottles, pewter and nickel silver beads create this classic ethnic look. The necklace measures 18-1/2" in length.
